Please join us for the second annual Swing Fore A Child’s Place Golf Tournament on Monday, May 13, 2013 at River Run Country Club in Davidson. Enjoy a fabulous day of golf, food and prizes while helping impact the lives of homeless children in Mecklenburg County.
Tee-off time is 1 p.m. All registered players will receive a buffet lunch before tee-off and a buffet dinner following golf. Also, participate in a raffle for prizes such as tickets to a Duke basketball game with exclusive all-access (behind the scenes) tour of Cameron Indoor Stadium and more to be announced during the event.
Registration is $250 per player or $800 per foursome, and all proceeds raised will go to A Child’s Place to help fund its My Place Summer Camp program for homeless children. The 8-week enrichment camp provides homeless children in Mecklenburg County with academic help, field trips, swimming lessons and daily hot lunches and breakfasts. It has been such a powerful program that 97% of campers maintained or boosted their reading skills to grade level, and 96% met grade-level goals in math.
A Child’s Place provides homeless children with educational, emotional and health support, helping to keep them healthy and in the classroom.
